COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS

The need for a community health center in every rural community cannot be over-emphasized.  These health centers should be accessible and affordable by an average rural dweller. Its services  should be such that the rural dweller can get timely, without waiting for consultants or certain equipment to be brought before being attended to.  The effectiveness of a health care delivery system should be central in meeting the goal of such health care else the essence of it will be highly defeated.http://www.who.int/pmnch/countries/nigeria-plan-chapter-3.pdf.  Here in Splendour Vintage Heights Foundation (also known as The Rural People), we take the health of the rural people very important hence we involve health packages in every developmental project that we engage in.

WHERE IS THE LOVE

As the world celebrates 'global day of parents' on the1st of June every year, I cant help but wonder what the same world thinks about those who are living and growing without having the experience of what a mother/father relationship is.  These are people who are constantly reminded by caregivers that they are not their parents and should therefore be grateful for whatever attempt they make in providing food, shelter, clothing and security which forms the basic needs of every human being. The task of caring for someone else in ones real poor state is a huge one and huge(er) is even the task of trully caring in the real sense of the word 'care'.  Then, the real issue is what could be the experience of a child who lives with people that present themselves as "foster parents" but are not parents in any sense of it.  i just hope these children will grow up and become parents than the people they see and live with today.
