OUR CORPORATE PROFILE

SPLENDOUR VINTAGE HEIGHTS FOUNDATION
(THE RURAL PEOPLE)

ABOUT US

The need to support and promote the efforts, pains and achievements
of the rural dwellers cannot be
over-emphasized.  Splendour Vintage Heights Foundation
(The Rural People) a registered non-governmental
organisation with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria partners with the rural communities to

Above all, we have almost the full participation of every rural dweller in order to
achieve a successful community development programme that targets the overall
sustainability of the community.  For us to become the medium through which
community development programmes are organized and promoted, we need the
partnership of every one that believes in the achievement of rural development to help
us fight the kidnapping, oil bunkering, illiteracy, poverty and diseases amongst others
that are inherent in our rural communities and help them believe in pooling their resources
and efforts together in bettering their day to day activities.
OUR PROJECTS
OUT-OF-SCHOOL PROJECT
Such resources includes books, school shoes and bags, school uniforms, computers,

tuition fees and such other fees that a child might be asked to pay in the course of the
academic year. Presently we have some orphans in our scholarship programme under this project.
BACKERS PROJECT

WIDOWS WITHOUT CHILDREN (WWC)
sensitize them on the true essence of community development and also promotes their
struggles and efforts with the help of donors.  We go into the upland and creeks to sensitize
the rural dwellers on the need for them to fully contribute and participate in the issues that
 concerns their well-being.

Furthermore, we help them to identify such programmes that can enhance them
educationally, economically, socially and otherwise and put our efforts/resources
(human and material) with that of our donors in harnessing their efforts into achieving
community development.
We have lots of projects that we have embarked upon in bringing rural development to
every targeted community.  For some of these projects, we personally bear the full bills
especially as they might be time bound (such as school terms and traditional periods).
For some, we partner with some agencies and volunteers to achieve them and yet for others,
we have the full sponsorship of our partners to be able to implement such projects.

OUR MISSION, VISION AND CORE VALUES

OUR VISION: A rural community where sustainable development activities are achieved through popular participation of the rural dwellers with or without the help of change agents.
OUR MISSION: Using advocacy, partnership, linkages and community development practices to promote and achieve sustainable development at the rural areas.
OUR CORE VALUES: Empowerment, Partnership, Sustainability, Popular Participation, Research and Identifiable Structure.

This project aims at creating a portfolio whereby we can have all that is needed to send any out-of-school rural child to school.
This project covers all the resources and funds that is needed for scholarships in every academic year in an identified rural community.

DAMAGE CONTROL PROJECT

This project caters for all kinds of environmental crisis/hazards within the rural communities and all kinds of epidemics. It also looks to help in certain seasonal problems plaguing our rural communities such as fire outbreaks and dryness of streams that leads to shortage of good drinking water in the villages.

Therefore, this project packages relief, immunization and vaccines and any other material that maybe need to curb the disaster at hand.

This project is aimed at backing up all widows, orphans and those referred to as less-priviledged in the rural communities. The project is packaged to help in bringing about HELP such as educationally, economically, socially and otherwise.

This project covers only those who are identified as widows without children (WWC) in the rural communities. In most African communities, some widows are made not to remarry with the belief that their late husbands will kill them if they do.  As a result, they are forced to enter a concubinage relationship with their late husbands' brothers.

A lot of widows have debunked and resisted this belief and have also remained as widows without children (for those of them that never had children or that lost theirs at the death of their spouse.
This project identifies with their strength and partners with them in achieving their dreams without becoming a liability to anyone.
FLAIR-SHOWCASE PROJECT

This project helps the youths in the rural communities to develop and showcase their flair.

One of the greatest problems of the rural dwellers is the inability to identify their God given talent and gift.
The project showcases all kinds of skill-acquisition programmme for the youth in the rural area to engage in especially in their areas of specialization.  Becoming a genius in your calling is the hallmark here.

You can participate in any of our projects by volunteering, sharing our activities in our blog, funding or partnering in any meaningful way that can help bring sustainable development to that person who has almost lost hope in the rural area today.
