INTERNATIONAL YOUTHS DAY 2016: TALENTS AND POVERTY

The United Nations marks every 12th of August as International Youths Day.  A day set aside to create awareness on the challenges and achievements of our youths. The focus on this years event was on how to involve our youths in eradicating poverty within our society.
At The Rural People, we made efforts to interact with the youths in Nigeria on how they intend to eradicate poverty by achieving sustainable development through consumption and production.
Many youths at the rural communities especially in Nigeria believe that the government should do everything for them. As a result, they get lazy by the day. It takes only a few of them to believe that learning a trade/skill can help them eradicate poverty.

We went to the street Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria and interviewed some youths who believe that they have certain talents and when used well, can use it to eradicate poverty in our society.
What is your take here?? Share your thoughts with us so that our youths at the rural communities can decide for themselves...
