TRIBUTE TO A LIVING LEGEND:PASTOR EMAH EKPO

This should have come during your birthday but permit me to celebrate you on this good Friday evening. Meeting you on that fateful day28th October2004 was controversial, accepting and having implicit faith in me was more controversial then my unofficial adoption into daughterhood by you was the greatest controversy that still left many quarters confused till date.
After few months of knowing you, the canvassing for (kpali) certificate started. Like a song you started the chorus: Ngozi please go and get your masters 2xxxx (as if the certificate was hiding somewhere for me to pick). Anyway, God helped me and I did. Again, Ngozi they are doing training for children teachers in my church and as presenter/producer of the only children program on air (even as a marketing staff then) you insisted and amidst tight schedule I got it. Still again,it was UNICEF training and others.
I cannot forget and still wonder why as my GENERAL MANAGER you insisted that I should understand certain management rules/ethics because according to you: Ngozi one day you will find yourself in a position where you have to constantly make decisions whether in Radio Nigeria or in your own organization.
Mum, summary is that little did I know that you were the last specie of your kind. In today's world, people, organisations, persons are only looking for who to USE AND DUMP.  Ironically, people want to get things that can build them,Dust their bum bum and pretend that you never contributed anything to their success.
Well, having come to the level where I run my private matters/business, you Pastor Emah Ekpo is hereby celebrated as one of my mentors at The Rural People; you will remain part of the mirror of my conscience because you are among those few people in my life who constantly thought about my welfare in this job and I pray that you will live to enjoy your rewards for you truly deserve it
As Christ Jesus is laid in the tomb today, I wonder how many persons that can sincerely make sacrifice irrespective of their positions, tribes and status for others to be blessed. From all of us at The Rural People, we wish you a sober good Friday and a splendid 2016 Easter.
